Job Description:
At Analog Devices Automotive Cabin Experience Istanbul Design Center, you will be able to work together with a global team, who has designed and introduced many successful products that won sockets from top car makers in Europe, Asia and the USA. We, as GMSL SerDes group, are developing integrated circuits for automotive and high-speed serial data communications for next generation safety and infotainment systems and autonomous vehicles.
As a design evaluation engineer, you will be responsible from validating and characterizing complex mixed-signal integrated circuits developed in GMSL SerDes group. You will have the opportunity to work with digital design, analog design, as well as application engineering and test engineering teams.
This hands-on job is a unique opportunity for someone who is willing to have a top-level understanding of complex integrated circuits and to work in collaboration with various teams within GMSL group.
Main responsibilities:
Functional bench evaluation of IC prototypes designed in GMSL SerDes group. Trying to find any functional limitations and performance bottlenecks by extensive and detailed bench tests.
Implementing test and measurement automation scripts using Python.
Performance characterization of IC prototypes over operating corners.
Developing GMSL Python automation platform.
Working with PCB team to design characterization PCBs to be used on bench. Guide PCB layout team.
Additional responsibilities are answering customer & apps questions from time to time and managing lab test and measurement equipment.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
BSEE or MSEE with specialization in IC/Hardware testing/characterization.
At least 7 years of experience is preferred in one or more of the Product, Product Development, Characterization, Test and/or Application Engineering areas.
Hands-on knowledge on high speed mixed-signal lab test/measurement/characterization equipment such as oscilloscopes, pattern/function generators, logic analyzers, BERT.
Experience in high-speed IC or hardware testing.
Experience in lab automation tools.
Experience in supporting/solving customer questions/issues/system design problems is a plus.
Experience in C# and/or Python is a plus.
Good communication skills, good data presentation skills.
