Responsibilities

As the Head of Accounting, Finance & Controlling, the candidate will be responsible for the accuracy and timely completion of financial records as well as leading budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and cost accounting to support the company's financial goals. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the internal control framework. In this senior role, the candidate will act as a key partner in the financial decision-making process, contributing to the achievement of the company's strategic objectives. The candidate will have a strong background in accounting and controlling with proven leadership skills and the ability to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the accounting and finance function.

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, commissions, financial reporting, and cost accounting,
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements,
Ensure timely and accurately period/month ends processes and associated managerial accounting tasks and reports,
Implement and maintain robust internal controls and processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements,
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other legal requirements,
Manage relationships with internal and external auditors and regulatory agencies, facilitating audits and providing necessary documentation and support,
Identify and mitigate effective risk management strategies and internal control measures,
Plan, control, and implement the annual budgeting process,
Prepare monthly/quarterly management reports and accounts ensuring they are produced on a timely basis (include KPI reports, budget, variance analysis, statistical data, and trends),
Ensures all accounting tasks and transactions are completed in a timely manner,
Support CFO in developing and executing financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives,
Support financial planning and forecasting processes, including budgeting, cash flow management, and long-term financial planning,
Supervise tax declarations with ensuring compliance and guidelines set out by authorities,
Monitor and analyze accounting and other financial processes, creating a culture of continuous improvement to minimize costs and other inefficiencies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and / or a master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an asset,
At least 6 years of experience in accounting, finance, and controlling roles,
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent is an asset,
Sound knowledge and experience on Turkish GAAP and IFRS,
Sound knowledge of best practices, laws, standards, and regulations,
Familiarity and experience in ERP, such as SAP, IFS preferably in Canias,
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting purposes,
Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements,
Strong understanding of internal and external control frameworks,
Results and detail-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance,
Leadership and management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams,
Very good English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
