Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for the OCW Transfer Management Assistant (Cash-Based Intervention) position, to be based at our Istanbul office Turkiye .

Main Job Purpose:
The OCW Transfer Management Assistant (Cash-Based Intervention) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient flow of financial transactions for Orphan & Child Welfare (OCW) Program. This position mainly involves managing financial transfers, monitoring fund movements, maintaining records, and contributing in observing and accordingly reviewing the strategies of the department. The OCW Transfer Management Assistant (Cash-Based Intervention) is also responsible for; establishing relationships with Finance leads, ensuring the use of most accurate payment sheets, ensuring proper fund distribution, reconciliation, documentation and reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for delivery of regular OCW transfers and helping ensure the management of any problems (if occurring) during planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of cash transfer process, Monitor and Evaluate the regular money transfer and distribution mechanisms; ensure implementing most appropriate cash distribution modality and tools for cash transfer to targeted groups, Compile and submit regular financial reports and updates to Head of OCW and OCW team members, Regularly review all termination and Direct Debit cancellation activity across the programme to identify any trends / patterns, and then generate ideas and implement solutions to reduce the number of terminations going forward, in order to mitigate financial loss for HA and develop the Salesforce Direct Debit working mechanism/procedure. Ensure low-cost delivery of the Orphan Sponsorship Programme for HA by ensuring that any cancelled sponsorships are monitored, and that these orphans are regularly highlighted as highest priority sponsorships to the regional offices and income generation departments (Donor Care, Fundraising, Comms) and prior to any key fundraising events etc. Regularly follow and ensure that regional offices sent the orphan sponsorships’ funds to HQ accounts in accordance with the signed funding agreements, Monitor Field Offices/Partners to confirm the funds are received fully and successfully and reconcile any discrepancies promptly in coordination with Finance department, To ensure that OCW funds are delivered to targeted beneficiaries as per predetermined targeting criteria and in a safe manner, Draft a Payment Sheet to be attached to each Funding Agreement, and work in coordination with the Finance department to monitor all Payment Proofs to ensure that the programme’s outgoing expenditure is correctly reconciled with the corresponding Funding Agreement and Payment Sheet, Finance Verification: Regularly validate and verify data in Salesforce platform to ensure accuracy and consistency, cross-referencing with reliable sources and resolving any discrepancies found, Data Cleaning: Identify and correct data errors, duplicates, and incomplete records to maintain a clean and reliable database, Create orphan sponsorship programme income and expenditure reports for regional offices in accordance with the signed funding agreements, Contribute to the development of the annual budget for the orphan sponsorship programme by reviewing the previous year’s expenditure, the payment calculation model and the admin costs etc. to submit a projected budget to the Head of OCW each year, Ensuring all administrative and donor compliance steps are undertaken, Implement appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems including appropriate payment mechanism; ensure consistent reporting, documentation, and analysis of results to improve program efficiency and quality, Reporting and Analysis: Generate comprehensive reports on weekly and monthly bases and analyze finance trends to provide insights that support decision-making and program enhancements. This also includes creating high quality statistical and OCW Program reports, Collaboration: Work closely with the Human Appeal team and other departments to understand data needs, provide accurate data for various initiatives, and support data-related projects, Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor or her/his designate.
Expected Abilities
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Proven experience in finance analysis, finance tracking, and accounting management. Familiarity with Salesforce and its data structure is essential. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Experience with survey methodologies, market assessment and relevant data analysis Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Excel. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, and QuickBooks. Previous experience working with an INGO or a Development organization is desired NB - Employee duties are not limited only to the above-mentioned accountabilities; he/she may perform other duties as assigned.
